Why nutrition matters before a big event
Nutrition for feeling your best
Whether you're preparing for your own wedding, standing beside someone special, or getting ready for a major milestone – how you fuel your body in the lead-up can make all the difference.
In the rush to look their best, many people turn to crash diets, juice cleanses, or cut out entire food groups. But these quick fixes often backfire – leaving you bloated, tired, or breaking out just days before the event.

Your skin, hair, digestion, and energy are all deeply connected to what you eat – and results take time. A personalised nutrition plan gives your body the support it needs to help you feel confident, calm, and radiant when it matters most.
Common goals I support
Everyone’s version of ‘feeling their best’ looks a little different – and when you’re preparing for a special day, whether it be a wedding, graduation, or big birthday – those goals often go beyond just how you look.

Nutrition plays a powerful role in how you feel – your energy, your confidence, your skin, and even your mindset. Whether you’re a bride, groom, parent, or guest, here are just some of the outcomes I can support you with in the lead-up to your big event:

Glowing skin
Support collagen production, reduce breakouts, and improve skin texture through nutrient-dense foods and hydration strategies.

Balanced mood and energy
Ditch the afternoon crashes. Learn how to build meals that keep your blood sugar (and mood) steady all day long.

Healthy hair & nails
Fuel growth and strength from within by addressing key nutrients often depleted in periods of stress or diet restriction.

Sustainable weight goals
If weight loss is part of your goal, I’ll help you approach it safely and realistically — no juice cleanses or crash diets.

Reduce bloating
Identify trigger foods and support digestion so you can feel light and comfortable in your outfit — not puffy or sluggish.

A calm, confident mindset
Nutrition affects more than your body. We’ll explore strategies that support better sleep and less stress.
Working together
Every client is different – and that’s exactly how I approach things. Whether you’ve got six months or just a few weeks until your big day, we’ll create a plan that meets you where you’re at and gets you where you want to be.

We’ll begin with a one-on-one consultation (online or in-person), where I’ll get to know you, your goals, and your timeline. From there, I’ll build a personalised plan that’s both evidence-based and realistic.

I’ll support you along the way with check-ins, updates, and optional extras like supplement guidance or testing (only when needed).

3+ months out
Establish habits, improve gut health, build nutrient foundations
2 months out
Focus on skin, hair, nail health and hormone balance
1 month out
Support digestion, energy, and reduce inflammation
Final 2 weeks
Fine-tune hydration, calming foods, and gentle routines

Value of personalised dietary guidance
When you’ve got a big day ahead, nutrition can help you feel confident, energised, and ready to enjoy every moment. Here’s why starting early and working with a registied dietitian makes all the difference:
Visible changes take time – and understanding
Healthy skin, strong hair, and nails don’t appear overnight. Nutrients like protein, zinc, vitamin C, and omega-3s can take 8–12 weeks to make a noticeable difference, so giving your body time matters.

When you work with me, we’ll start by looking at what you’re already eating and what you enjoy. From there, I’ll help you make gradual, sustainable changes that improve your nutrient intake without overwhelming you.
Along the way, you’ll gain meal plans, recipes, and easy-to-implement strategies for meeting your needs – and learn how specific nutrients work in your body.

By your big day, you’ll have more than physical changes. You’ll have a plan that’s practical, a better understanding of how food supports your goals, and tools you can use well beyond the event.

Finding your balance for steady energy and mood
Low energy and poor mood are some of the most common issues people face in the lead-up to an event. Blood sugar highs and lows can leave you tired, irritable, and craving quick fixes – but balancing protein, fibre, and slow-release carbs at meals can improve energy stability and focus by up to 20%.

We’ll work together to find your balance. That means starting with a tailored plan, then making small adjustments based on how your body responds. I’ll show you how to track what’s working – using simple, realistic methods – so we can fine-tune as we go.

The result? You’ll know what to eat, when to eat, and how to build balanced meals that support a calmer mood and steadier energy. On your special day, that means you can be fully present, enjoying the moment without worrying about an energy crash halfway through.
Learning how your body works and what it needs
Bloating and weight fluctuations can be frustrating – especially when you can’t pinpoint the cause. Digestive discomfort affects up to 30% of adults, and sometimes it’s linked to diet; other times, it’s influenced by stress, sleep, fitness, or timing of meals.

As a registered dietitian, I bring qualified expertise to this process. I’ll help you identify possible triggers, monitor your symptoms, and make safe, evidence-based changes. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all meal plan – it’s a monitored, personalised approach that considers your health, lifestyle, and preferences.

Through our work, you’ll learn how your body responds to different foods, portions, and habits – and how to adjust them to feel your best. Whether or not your body changes shape, you’ll gain the confidence that comes from understanding and supporting it.

FAQs
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally, we start around 3–6 months before your event — depending on the level of change you’re aiming to achieve. This gives your body time to respond to adjustments and gives us space to fine-tune your plan along the way. But even a shorter timeframe can still make a meaningful difference.
Can I combine this with a general weight goal?
Yes. If weight change is part of your goal, we’ll approach it safely and sustainably. I’ll guide you with a balanced plan that supports your special event prep and your long-term health.
Will you give me a strict meal plan?
Not unless you want one. Some people like a set plan, others prefer a flexible framework. I’ll tailor the level of structure to what works best for you — and give you tools to make your own choices with confidence.
